Reviews of The Oakes Hotel Overlooking The Falls

Jonathan
Stunning views from room 1206, with Horseshoe Falls visible from the massive bed. The sunrise was breathtaking, and we left the curtains open just to enjoy it. Short stay made perfect by an elegant sitting room and a fantastic bathroom, but the parking fee felt steep at $43—opt for the casino lot nearby for a better deal. Service was hit-or-miss; a rude manager and miscommunication cast a shadow, but the restaurant experience at Table Rock was worth every penny. Cleanliness could use improvement, especially with renovations ongoing. Would consider returning despite a few hiccups.

Wonderful experience there. Amazing hotel for stopover in pretty nice area. Superfriendly staff of the venue. Fine and exceptional room with hot tub, excellent view of American & Canadian Niagara Falls and higher floors 8-20th, and smoke detectors too for guests' safety. Awesome and exceptional location, 15 minutes' walk to Table Rock Welcome Centre.

The place was great value. Had nice stay which was 2 days from Thursday to Saturday and the weather was warm. It had perfect and wonderful location with access to Oak Hall Golf Course nearby.

The room was spacious and offered an incredible view of both the New York and Canada falls. Watching the nightly fireworks from the comfort of the room was a highlight. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the room felt outdated. There were cleaning issues—dirty windows and dusty bed frames stood out. We lacked a coffee maker, making morning brews inconvenient. The HVAC unit wasn't reliable, affecting temperature control. the pool and hot tub provided a nice touch. Parking was $35, which felt excessive given nearby options.

Out of sight of the waterfalls.
The lady behind the reception ignored the tourists that day.

The bi-level suite had a breathtaking view that made the stay truly memorable. The room was spacious with four queen beds, perfect for our family. I noticed some cleanliness issues; the floors could have used a deeper clean. While the front desk staff, especially Shobam, were exceptionally helpful and accommodating by extending our checkout time, the maintenance of the room itself left a bit to be desired. the stunning view and great service somewhat balanced out the shortcomings.

The view, really beautiful. Didn't close the curtains at night to wake up at sunrise!
High parking costs $30 but I think that is expensive at every hotel in Niagara Falls. Hotel feels somewhat outdated, uncomfortable lobby.

Location is strong. Surrounded by dining options and a decent stroll to attractions. Applebee's next door is a lifesaver in frigid February. cleanliness was a significant issue. The second room wasn’t much better. Outdated furniture and poor heating made for a less-than-comfortable stay. Staff were friendly but seemingly disorganized. Extra charges for basic amenities felt unjustified. Amenities advertised fell short. Slow, insecure WiFi and lackluster towels were disappointing. True potential exists, but management needs to address basic hygiene and maintain transparency in services. It requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality to match the price point.
